Slavery: See How White Slave Traders Dehumanised N*ked Black Slave Women (Photos)

Sexual assault of black female folks was paramount during the slave trade era as perpetrated by white people who degraded their Africans to assets rather than human beings.

Sexual assaults of female black slaves by white male plantation owners, their sons, brothers and other male acquaintances were heartlessly perpetrated unhindered in the 15th and 19th centuries before its abolition.
Black women were technically degraded to objects for hard work and pleasure with no real value attached to their feelings. History recorded that black women were raped and dehumanized without fear of punishment.
The reasons of their white owners couldn't be justified as they smelt of share hatred and xenophobia for their skin colour. Black men were also sexually abused by slaveholders, and sometimes, their wives were not spared from the ill-treatment as they worked tirelessly on farmlands with stipends that amounted to virtually nothing.
The slave trade refers to the transatlantic trading patterns which were established as early as the mid-17th century. Trading ships would set sail from Europe with a cargo of manufactured goods to the west coast of Africa.
There, these goods would be traded, over weeks and months, for captured people provided by African traders. European traders found it easier to do business with African intermediaries who raided settlements far away from the African coast and brought those young and healthy enough to the coast to be sold into slavery.

The residents of Ketu-Ayetoro in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun have been left in shock after a pastor, Wale Fagbere, was rendered unconscious and speechless at the weekend after invading a community shrine in a bid to pull it down.
According to The Nation, the pastor who was believed to have been trapped at the shrine by forces suspected to be spirits, was said to have boasted before his members he would flatten the shrine where the community traditionalists congregate to worship.
It was gathered that he was rendered motionless until people spotted him. Those who sighted him in his agony, unable to lift his feet, raised the alarm, which drew attention of priests in charge of the shrine.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that the priests demanded some rituals must be carried out before the trapped pastor could be set him free. He was, however, said to have regained consciousness after treatment following intervention of the Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba Abdulaziz Adelakun.

Ogun Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident and hinted that the cleric may be charged with “sacrilege and malicious damage.”
“The Command got the report at its Division in Ayetoro that one Evangelist Wale Fagbere went to Ketu to destroy traditional worshippers’ shrines. After the destruction, the man became unconscious, motionless and could not talk.
“When the policemen visited the place, the traditionalists claimed that the subject cannot be taken away until some spiritual exercise was performed.
“The Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba AbdulAzeez Adelakun, waded into the matter which led to the release of the man. The victim has been revived and handed over to his family.
“The police’s next step would be determined by the traditionalists. If they complain to the Police about the destruction of their shrine, the victim would be charged for sacrilege and malicious damage.
“Everybody has right to worship anything he so desires,” Oyeyemi stated.
