Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe-Gentry is on the cover of The Guardian’s Life magazine for the weekend of Sunday, June 26, 2016 and she is stellar on several fronts.
The mother of two sports a lace dress on the magazine cover on this new edition titled Diva On And Off Screen.
Aigbe-Gentry is a 37-year-old Nollywood actress and producer who has won multiple awards for her creative contributions to the growth and development of Yoruba movies.
She is of Edo descent and graduated from the University of Lagos in 2001 with a degree in Theatre Arts.
The screen star hasn’t had it completely rosy as far as public image is concerned.
On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, while on location in Osun state, she was allegedly arrested by the Osun state police after a police cap was spotted on the dashboard of her car.
Following Mercy’s alleged arrest, details of the incident took over social media as she reportedly engaged in a heated debate with the policemen which attracted a huge crowd.
The police feeling threatened by the mob reportedly called for backup in order to avoid any forms of attack.
Subsequently, Mercy Aigbe’s husband reportedly went over and pleaded for the release of his wife, after which she took to Instagram to debunk claims of ever being arrested or getting into any exchange of words with the police.
