Review of Praiz's "Folashade" video ~ Crown Gist

Xtreme music R’n’B artiste, Praiz, who has been compared to America’s John Legend, just dropped a video for his “Folashade” single which has been on Nigerian airwaves for sometime now, and we must say it is brilliant one.

Celebrity photographer, actress and musician, Toni Tones, played the role of Folashade in the
video directed by Clarence Peters, with Praiz showing off his acting skills as a carefree boyfriend, who realized his mistakes late. And you know why we love the video? Because it was birthed from Praiz’s personal experience.

The music video started out with an emotional accident scene, where Praiz held Folashade so dearly, begging her not to die. The crowd which gathered at the scene, really gave us a theater feeling and the lightening was perfect.

Then there was a church scene with the beautiful white doves, and another where Toni (Folashade) went nude, letting out her emotions while smoking a cigarette and drinking from the bottle in a bath tub. But the last scene got us confused, as there was so much blood in the bath tub where the dead Folashade was laid, which was never at the accident scene; while Praiz sat somewhere close all cleaned up.

Well, it’s really a nice video, should be up for awards because the concept and lyrics interpretation was brilliant, and also a long-lasting reminder of valuing what you have.
