One-time APC Chairmanship aspirant in of Igando/Ikotun Community, Comrade Shakiru Balogun, died in a fatal motor accident, involving a LAWMA truck on Friday, July 21, 2017.
It was gathered that Balogun, who was also a former Chairman of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Igando-Ikotun Chapter, was an aspirant for the chairmanship position before he lost at the primaries, but before his death remained one of the very strong and influential political figures in the community.
