A man escaped mob action after he was caught stealing from a woman's bag in Abia state.The suspect allegedly distracted the woman yesterday then stole an undisclosed amount of money from her basket.According to reports, he asked the woman to help him get a bar of soap. As she set about to grant his request, he used the opportunity to steal from her. But she noticed in time and raised alarm. 
As a crowd gathered and tried to carry out jungle justice, he willingly confessed to stealing the money and begged for forgiveness. width:236px">Watch video below.
