3 transgender friends who have endured bullying are transitioning from male to female at the age of 11 and they are supporting each other during the process. Lily, Fiana and Zuri have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria and will soon undergo medical intervention to stop their bodies from developing into that of men. 11-year-old Lily, from the Austin area of Texas, who was born male, has already begun taking hormone blockers to prevent her going through male puberty - an irreversible change her parents wrestled with before undertaking.
Lily’s mum Julie Maerz said:Around the age of two, Lily started asking for different types of toys, and then after that, the first big thing that we noticed was that she wanted to dress as Cinderella for Halloween. Right before her eighth birthday, she came out from her room one morning and she said 'I’m Lily all the time now, only use girl pronouns. I’m not gonna be Jack anymore’.Julie and her family had a lot of negative responses not only from strangers, but also from their family and friends.
Julie said:People come out of the wood work to let you know that you are harming your child by allowing her to be trans gender and it’s something that we’ve just come to expect and something that we really just rolls off our back at this point.Once you start to read the medical background of what gender dysphoria is and that it is a medical condition, it is not just a mental state.It is not something that is made up, when an eight year old tells you she is in the wrong body, she means it.Stacey Jefferson, 10-year-old Fiana’s mom, said she believed she just had a boy who liked girls toys until one evening when she was putting her then-son to bed.
She said:The stand out moment for me when I knew I really couldn’t spend another day with Fiana not transitioning was when we were getting ready for bed and she said ‘Mama, I need to tell you that I think I was supposed to be born a girl’.I said ‘Honey, why do you think that?’ and she said ‘Well, I have a girl brain and a girl heart. All my toys are girl things and all my friends are girls. I don’t really understand the things that boys like to do’.I knew right from that moment that I needed to raise her differently.Kimberly Jones, whose daughter Zuri, 11, is also entering puberty as a transgender girl recalls the moment she knew she should allow her to transition.The first time we let her go shopping in a skirt, she was delighted. She was dancing around so happy, but also really nervous about what people would think or say.Now it’s like she has filled out with this whole persona of who she really is.The girls have been bullied at home and at school because of their sexuality but they belong to a group of male to female transgender children living in the Austin area and they get support from each other.
To fully transition during their teenage years, the three girls will take hormone blockers, then begin hormone replacement therapy around the age of 14 to 16, then have gender reassignment surgery when they are 18. The post

Donald Trump has criticized birthright citizenship and vowed to revoke the law through an executive order (read here). The birthright citizenship allows children of non-citizens and illegal immigrants born in the US to become automatic citizens. Trump says this is "ridiculous" and he promised to do something about it. She said she boarded the plane from Abuja to Lagos and once they got into Lagos, it started raining and they weren't even protected inside the plane. The Director-General of the Atiku Presidential Campaign Orgsanisation (APCO), Gbenga Daniel, says PDP presidnetial candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has received signal from the US government to apply for visa which would be granted. Daniel who is a former Governor of Ogun State disclosed this when he appeared on Channels TV today October 31st. Atiku who emerged PDP presidential flagbearer on October 7th, is widely believed to be wanted for alleged corruption in the US and has reportedly been banned from coming into the US. The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) has accused the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force of killing 46 of its members. The group also said 107 members sustained injuries, while 1,000 members were still missing after a clash with security operatives during the three-day religious gathering tagged: 'Arbaeen Symbolic Trek' in Abuja. This was disclosed at a press statement signed by the IMN spokesperson, Abdullahi Muhammad Musa, on Wednesday. The statement read: "The public will recall that on Saturday, 27 October, 2018 the followers of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) publicly announced the commencement of three (3) days religious gathering (Arbaeen Symbolic Trek) and protest for unconditional release of our leader, Sheikh Zakzaky (H). Unfortunately, during the programme, the Military and Police killed 46 mourners and protesters, injured 107 and 1,000 got missing.The worst part of the crime, the Police are now blackmailing us to cover their atrocities. The Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (AFIMN) objected and rejected the baseless claims made by the Police that followers of Sheikh Zakzaky were arrested with explosives and at the same time, we are calling on the public to please ignore the allegation. The Police should come out and tell the world where they got the explosives and account for over 1,000 people that got missing during the three days protest. Acccording to him, the house help was allegedly sexually assaulted by her employer and forced to wash and sleep with a corpse. Read below and share your comments:Peninah Awuor from Nyahera, Kisumu County was a house-help in Pangani for only 47 days.Apart from being sexually assaulted, she was forced by her employer Mohammed Noor to wash and sometimes sleep with a corpse wrapped with a mat and hidden under a bed in one of the rooms.The first time Mr. Noor forced her to do it at gunpoint.She was shocked when she realized that each day the corpse would produce several new Ksh1,000 and Ksh500 notes which Mr. Noor would collect in a basin.Noor's wife once beat up Peninah when she screamed at night after Mr. Noor started grabbing her inappropriately in the living room while she and her two children were asleep upstairs.She also warned Peninah to never steal the money collected daily from the corpse while cleaning it or she will suffer untold consequences.According to Peninah, a doctor would also come to the house every Friday to inject the corpse with some substance so that it does not smell.Peninah who was kicked out of the home without a penny reported the matter to Pangani Police Station where police officers appeared to despise her story ostensibly on being bribed by Mr. Noor. The Home Office is set to deport a 32-year-old Nigerian woman, Chimezie, convicted of staging a 'sham marriage' Chimezie's British husband Robert Rickerby, 52, fears his young family will be "ripped apart" if she's deported. Rickerby, of Benwell, insists it is true love between him and wife Chimezie - as he pleads with the Home Office to allow her to stay. Despite a 20-year age gap, the pair got hitched months after meeting while Chimezie was on bail. Shortly after their nuptials, she was jailed for 18 months for attempting to wed Czech-born Pavel Gabco in a sham ceremony. Chimezie was locked up alongside the likes of Rose West in HMP Low Newton. But since leaving detention, she's had two kids with Robert - who fears the Government will take their mum from them. The Home Office say foreign criminals jailed for a year or more, like Chimezie, face automatic deportation. But Robert said: "I'm worried we will lose her. Every time we apply for a visa, the Home Office refuse it. It is always a different excuse - they say the paperwork hasn't been properly filled in or something. But this hangs over us every day." A decade ago, Chimezie moved to Britain to study at uni but her course outlasted her student visa.Newcastle Crown Court heard she pretended to be shacked up with Gabco in a blundering bid to stay.While on bail, she met Robert who acknowledges there will be skeptics - but he insists their love is true. "We met in Newcastle - I saw her in the street and she saw me and we smiled," said Robert. "About an hour later, I saw her again and smiled, so we started conversing and exchanged numbers." Now approaching their seventh wedding anniversary, he adds: "If it wasn't love, why would we have gone through the anxiety of the last six years?" "She's not been allowed to work , claim benefits - even open a bank account - and every fortnight we have to go to Middlesbrough to the reporting centre. "And it means my income is the only income we have. After bills we are only left with about £20 or £30-a-month." Some of that is swallowed by crippling legal bills to fight a Home Office deportation order.Robert estimates he's spent "thousands" on a London-based legal team to help keep his wife on Tyneside. He claims to have enlisted the help of Newcastle MP's Nick Brown and Chi Onwurah. ChronicleLive contacted both. According to the couple, during her detention, there were 16 flight tickets issued to deport her.But as her husband, Robert feels his wife, now 32, should be allowed to stay. "The Home Office ignore the fact that I'm a British citizen and she has kids here," he said."This hangs over us permanently and it could split the family up. If she had to leave the children here, I'd have to give up work to look after and support them. If she took them, I'd have to work and support them from here." Chimezie's 2012 trial heard she had entered the UK lawfully, and that she "had not been a burden on the taxpayer". But Judge Paul Sloan QC slammed her behaviour as he locked her up. "It is clear this type of offending, involving an attempt to frustrate immigration controls, as well as striking at the integrity of the institution of marriage, calls for a deterrent sentence," he said. But six years on, that offending could be about to catch up with her again - and split the family apart. A Home Office spokesperson said: “All foreign nationals who are given a custodial sentence will be considered for removal and any foreign criminal who is sentenced to 12 months or more imprisonment must automatically be subject to a deportation order under the UK Borders Act 2007.” The post

Transmission Engineer with Huawei Technologies, Anthony Arum was shot dead by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers during official duty in Benue State. It was gathered that late Arum alongside two members of the BO Transmission team and a driver were attacked by the assailants on October 27. They managed to find their way into the bush. The driver came back after the gunmen fled and called another colleague based in Katsina-Ala, who then reported the incident to the police The police arrived the scene and found his colleagues alive but Anthony couldn’t make it as he was shot three times and had lost lots of blood. President Buhari has directed the embattled Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Usman Yusuf, to proceed on administrative leave starting from November 5th. A statement released by the Permanent Secretary in the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olusegun Adekunle, says the decision is to allow for a thorough investigation into allegations of corruption levelled against the NHIS boss.“In order to create room for an unfettered investigation, Mr President has approved that the Executive Secretary of the NHIS, Professor Usman Yusuf should proceed on administrative leave immediately.“In his absence, Mr Ben Omogo, a Director of Administration in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has been deployed to oversee the affairs of the Scheme,” the statement read in part.President Buhari also approved the establishment of an independent fact-finding panel (which will be inaugurated by the SGF on Friday, November 2, at 3.00 p.m) to investigate the allegations. Members of the committee which will be chaired by Dr. Hassan Bukar, Include Director, HPRS, FMH, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole; Director, Audit, (AuGF), Adewale Owolo; and Deputy Director Expenditure (OAGF), Shamsuddeen Bello.Others are Director, Certification & Compliance, BPP, Ishaq Yahaya; Director of Science (FMS&T), Dr. Ekanem John Udoh; and Director, Administration (OSGF), Mrs Jummai Idakwo.According to the statement, with the establishment of this panel, the earlier body set up by the Governing Council stands dissolved.It is expected to report back within two weeks.Yusuf has been accused of financial imrporpiety. A Nigerian man from Texas was on Tuesday, October 30, sentenced to three years and four months in prison, likely to be followed by deportation, for taking part in years-long schemes that defrauded unwitting people from the U.S. and other countries of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Clement Onuama, 53, owned a legitimate auto sales and repair business near Arlington, Texas, which prosecutors said became a front for an operation that laundered money gained through a systemic and long-term fleecing of gullible persons. Scott C. Blader, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Onuama, from Arlington, Texas (formerly of Lagos, Nigeria), was sentenced by U.S. District Judge William B. Conley to 40 months in federal prison, and ordered to pay $409,639 in restitution. In addition, the court ordered Onuama to forfeit as a personal money judgment, $409,639 in ill-gotten gains. Onuama’s co-conspirator, Orefo Okeke, was sentenced by Judge Conley on October 18, 2018, to 45 months imprisonment, and ordered to pay $582,955.90 in restitution to the victims. On July 17, 2018, Onuama pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. Okeke and Onuama participated in multiple frauds by means of wires, including: romance frauds, business email compromises, identity theft, bank account takeovers, and credit card fraud. Onuama was found responsible for causing a fraud loss of $1,076,602. Onuama and Okeke acted as money launderers and funneled the fraud proceeds through multiple bank accounts before withdrawing it in the form of cash and cashier’s checks, all in increments of $10,000 or less. At yesterday's sentencing, Judge Conley told Onuama that as a money launderer in this case, he provided the foundation for a sweeping fraud, and that his conduct, “caused untold damage to others. There has to be a consequence for that.” In response to Onuama’s plea for mercy because his mistakes were causing harm to his children, Judge Conley told Onuama: "You are not here because of a mistake. You are here because of intentional decisions to lie to bankers, and law enforcement about the sources of the money taken by fraud from the victims. These were not mistakes.” The charges against Onuama and Okeke were the result of an investigation conducted by IRS Criminal Investigation.
