After the successful release of Yawa, Nigeria's most controversial anti-political music, Yere has come under fire by many on the internet who think it is just a publicity stunt and also a way to sabotage the current government.Yawa was released by new Afrobeat musician Yere, ahead of the upcoming Nigeria presidential elections on the 16th of February 2019 as a way to encourage the citizens of Nigeria to go out and cast their votes correctly. But this harmless effort seems to have created some form of controversy for the American based Nigerian musician.While many applaud him, many criticize him on the internet, saying Yere may get in trouble with the government, despite preaching peace..
