Actress and comedian, Rosie O'Donnell has confirmed she's engaged to her partner, Boston-based police officer Elizabeth Rooney.The 56-year-old confirmed the news while speaking at a New York City anniversary event for her arts education organization, Rosie's Theater Kids, which held on Monday.She started by calling Rooney a 'wonderful woman,' and told People that their wedding will be 'a long time in the future,' as they had 'both decided that that would be best.'She also praised her fiancee as 'a pretty unbelievable young woman' and 'very much an equal' to her, with a background including military service and a boxing career.She's very much her own person,' Rosie said, 'and loves what she does.'According to O'Donnell, the age difference between them - 23 years - is no issue for Rooney.
