Flu is often confused with common cold due to their similar symptoms, but flu symptoms tend to develop quickly and are more severe.Flu is highly contagious and can be spread through the coughs and sneezes of an infected person and also through physical contact such as touching or shaking hands with an infected person. Who is at risk of getting a flu? · Babies, young children and adults over the age of 65· People who live or work in facilities with many other residents· People with weakened immune system· People with chronic illnesses such as Diabetes, Asthma or heart problems.· Pregnant women  If yes, then you most likely have a Cold or FluFlu and cold symptoms are similar. For young and healthy people, seasonal virus is not usually serious, often times it resolves within a week or two. However, high risk children and adults may develop complications such as Pneumonia, Ear infections, Asthma attacks and heart problems.  How to prevent the SpreadFlu is a viral disease and cannot be treated with antibiotics except if it has led to another illness caused by bacteria. The doctor may prescribe antiviral medications. Most times, the symptoms of flu is treated, for example, using paracetamol for the headaches and pains and lozenges for the sore throat. Research has also shown that essential oils such as eucalyptus oil, lemon oil, thyme oil, oregano oil and tea tree oil are very good for relieving cold and flu symptoms.
