A father has condemned gender norms and also called out parents for the values they've imbibed in their kids after his son was bullied at school for wearing nail polish. The man, who is a father of three boys and an award-winning journalist said his son was exposed to how harmful "toxic masculinity" can be. He said his son Sam is a "boy's boy" and loves to do things boys are known to do. But he also loves nail polish and decided to wear it to school. Sadly, his classmates weren't as accepting of his decision as his family was. They mocked and bullied him so much that he broke down crying when his mum came for him.His enraged father went on to encourage him by pointing out male celebrities like Chris Hemsworth who wear nail polish. He advised the boy to not let people's opinion affect his decisions. He went on to reveal that his older son, Will, who is 10, showed support for his brother by also wearing nail polish. The father also joined in.The father has now slammed parents for teaching their kids intolerance and imbibing in them gender norms that uphold toxic masculinity.@DaddyFiles' tweets went viral and someone made an artwork encouraging everyone - male and female- to come our wearing nail polish on Friday, October 26, to support Sam. And a lot of people from Sam's town, Franklin, Massachusettes, intend to come out with painted nails that day.

Sharing the news, Sam's father said:Some beautiful, wonderful person made this and apparently everyone is going to paint their nails in Sam's town on Friday. I'm...I'm floored. You are all unbelievable!!!! Read Sam's father's initial tweets below.
