The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has barred Zamfara state APC from fielding candidates for the 2019 general election. A statement from the commission states that the party failed to hold its primaries within the stipulated time given and so cannot fielding any candidate. Political parties were given till October 7th to conduct their primaries and determine their political candidates for the 2019 election. Zamfara state failed in conducting any of such primaries.
