Former governor of Delta state, James Ibori was reportedly used as a reference in an anti-bribery course abroad. A Nigerian Twitter user@Miss_Funmi who schools abroad took to her page to share a post which shows a photo of James Ibori being used as a reference with another man during an anti-bribery course.She wrote: 'Nigeria has blown. Was doing anti-bribery course and they used our very own James Ibori as example.'
Recall that Ibori who was governor of Delta state between 1999-2007, pleaded guilty in a London court in 2012 to a 10-count charge of fraud and money-laundering, involving sums amounting to atleast 50 million pounds ($66 million).He received a 13-year jail sentence of which he served half, as is common in the British system and was released from prison in December 2016, after serving out his jail term.The post James Ibori used as a reference in an anti-bribery course abroad appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
